CataGreen™ works in conjunction with the DeCaIon™ descaling system to control microorganisms at safe levels in evaporative cooling systems, eliminating the need for the use of toxic disinfectants.
CataGreen™ modules contain an inhibitor immobilized on a specialized polymer particle layer. The active ingredient of CataGreen™ damages cell membranes, disrupting intracellular processes and inhibiting cell division. Unable to produce energy or reproduce, microorganisms such as bacteria, algae, and fungi will gradually starve and die.
